If you are someone living with arthritis, you understand that having cold hands or feet can be painful. When your extremities are cold they tend to stiffen, causing pain to your joints if you try to bend them to warm them up. If cold hands and/or feet are something you experience, try this recommendation from the Arthritis Foundation.
When at home, run the extremities that are cold in a warm paraffin bath. Archives of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation did a study on paraffin baths and reports that paraffin wax baths help ease pain and helps maintain muscle strength.
If you aren’t home, carry around hand warmers. They have a similar effect as a paraffin bath, just compact enough to keep it near by.
This is just a suggestion, please consult your doctor before trying something new.
